2022 Edwardsville Live Showcase Top Performers

The opening day of the Edwardsville Live Showcase did not disappoint. Here are a few standouts from the opening day:

Kennard Davis, 2023, Vashon – Player of the day on Friday!

The most impressive performer of the day! Kennard’s full game was on display over the weekend. He scored from inside, outside, beyond 3, and had some thunderous dunks. He also showed the capacity to bring the ball down the floor and make plays for his team. He is dynamic in the post where he can finish through contact and displays several post moves.

BJ Ward, 2023, Chaminade

The strong point guard had his full game on display during the 1st day. He scored from inside and beyond the 3. He is a true floor general who can get everyone involved and is a disruptive defensive player. After the day’s performance, BJ picked up an offer from SIUE. Great matchup to start the day going up against Jordan Pickett.

Jordan Pickett, 2023, Belleville East

Pickett picked up where he left off from a good weekend in Chicago. He was scoring at the rim, getting to the free throw line, and was deadly on ball screens.

His defensive intensity was ramped up in a matchup with BJ Ward. He is dynamic in the open floor and has range well beyond the 3.

Trey Williams, 2025, Vashon

Trey continues to show why he is one of the best 2025 kids not only in the area but in the country. He is automatic from 3 with a quick release and has range. Trey plays very efficiently and doesn’t take bad shots. He is a dynamite defender and is continuing to grow. He makes the right decision with the ball in his hands and can finish at the rim.

Kyan Evans, 2023, Staley

Kyan was very impressive today running his team. He is smooth with the ball, can shoot from deep, and also is a playmaker for his team. Kyan is dynamic in the open court and his basketball IQ is off the charts. This kid oozes with talent.

Cooper Koch, 2024, Peoria Notre Dame

Smooth 6’8 forward has range from the 3, can put the ball on the floor, and is skilled in the post. Long arms and good feet allow him to be a good defender and be disruptive.
