MBCA Top Performer Part 2

We spent June 17th-18th evaluating the talent at the Midwest Showcase hosted by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association. This was an evaluation weekend for college coaches, including the D1 coaches. Here are some players that had a good weekend.

Cameron Manyawu, 2023, 6’9 Forward (pictured)

Manyawu has been a major stock riser. He’s an agile athlete for his size and can guard multiple positions. Offensively, he can stretch the floor and attacks smaller defenders around the rim. Great long-term potential.

Collin Perry, 2025, 6’0 Guard

Perry is a strong guard who can really defend and play at a fast tempo. He’s great at finding the gaps with the defense to make plays. Defensively he can really pressure the ball and makes the opposition uncomfortable. Talented 2025.

BJ Ward, 2023, 6’0 Guard

One of the best floor generals in Missouri. Today he showcased an improved jump shot to go along with his intangibles. Overall, he’s a well-rounded prospect who recently received a Division 1 offer from Lindenwood.

Trey Williams, 2025, 6’0 Guard

Williams was on our radar before he started his HS career and for good reason. He plays with great pace and can shoot the cover off the ball. He’s got a chance to be a star for Tony Irons at Vashon. Recently picked up a Mizzou offer.

Terry McMorris, 2023, 6’7 Wing

McMorris is an elite athlete with a 7+ foot wingspan. He’s an anchor on the defensive end and has great instincts. Offensively he’s raw but works hard while looking to take the rim down. One of the higher potential prospects in the building over the weekend.

Dylan Golighty, 2023, 6’4 Guard

SCORER. He’s explosive heading toward the rim and is a confident shooter. Takes and makes tough shots in a good way. Talented prospect who excels in this type of showcase setting.

Anthony Gause, 2024, 6’2 Guard

Scoring guard with a variety of moves and corresponding counters. He’s good at all 3 levels. Gause has been one of the major stock risers in Missouri this summer.
